Gorgeous!

We were blessed with another beautiful day for our trip north to Mossman Gorge. The Visitor Centre there is new and well run and the coffee at the adjacent cafe is pretty good too. There is a shuttle bus service which takes you up to the start of the walks (including a raised boardwalk).

The swimming hole at Mossman Gorge was busy with people swimming or just sitting in the shade watching all the action:

The highlight of the gorge is the river running over and around large rounded boulders:

After visiting the gorge, we returned to Port Douglas for lunch and to visit St Mary's by the Sea, a white weatherboard church in Anzac Park at Port Douglas:

Be sure to go inside to see what is below this lovely stained glass window:

It is a steep walk, or a short drive, to the lookout at Port Douglas for views of 4 Mile Beach:

On our way back to Cairns, we stopped at Rex Lookout to watch a paraflyer circling:

Not for me!

We are both looking forward to our next stop, Paronella Park.
