You definitely felt as though you were cruising through jungle.

The cruise was followed by a walk through the rainforest, where, strangely enough, we got rained on.
The lookout on the Alexandra Range gives great views of the mouth of the Daintree River:
Barbara Attenborough spotted a Cassowary at our lunch stop. Unfortunately it was a plastic one - the only type we are likely to see this trip:
We stopped for a snack of tropical fruit by Emmagen Creek. Whilst most of us watched the 4WDs crossing the creek on their way north on the Bloomfield Track, international visitors braved the cool water.
We walked the beach where the rainforest meets the reef - Cape Tribulation. Unfortunately the water was muddy after recent rains and we were quite shocked at the number of tourists there.
